About us
SWYAA Egypt is the official non-profit association of Egyptian alumni of the Ship for World Youth (SWY), an international youth leadership development program organized by the government of Japan. As part of the global SWYAA network, we promote intercultural understanding, leadership development, and active citizenship. We collaborate with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth & Sports, the Japanese Embassy in Egypt, the International Youth Exchange Organization (IYEO) of the Japanese government, and all the SWYAA associations in different countries to maintain the SWY spirit forward
Missions and Goals
Our Mission
To sustain and strengthen the SWY values of international friendship, cross-cultural cooperation, and social contribution, among Egyptian alumni.
Foster communication with the Japanese Embassy, IYEO, and the Cabinet Office of Japan.
Collaborate with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth & Sport in support of youth leadership development
Promote SWY opportunities to future Egyptian candidates and sponsors.
Maintain an active network of ex-participants in Egypt.
